GIMP Lighten Picture

For this tutorial,I will be using this picture : Click~

Step 1
Open up your picture and your layer palette.You will need this later.

Step 2
Open your tool box and click . Pick any gradient that you wanted or use my setting:



Step 3
Make a new layer by clicking ---- This ( Click for view )

Oh and make sure that your setting is like this-


For the width and height,it's must be the same as the base picture.For the name,you can name anything you like.

Step 4
Fill the transparent layer with the gradient.Click on the upper right hand corner outside of the picture.You don't have to do how I do.But,this is how I do.You can start your gradient anywhere.



Step 5
Drag your mouse across the picture while stil clicking the bottom left hand corner.When you release your mouse a gradient should pop-up.



Step 6
Once you're done,set the layer to Lighten 100%.After that,erase the gradient on Aaron's face.Don't erase too much.Your eraser setting should be like this :



Step 7
Now you're done!Just add anything that you can think of.
